Aarambh Autumn Gathering and Workshops

I hope I can be the autumn leaf, who looked at the sky and lived. And when it was time to leave, gracefully it knew life was a gift.

“I hope I can be the autumn leaf, who looked at the sky and lived. And when it was time to leave, gracefully it knew life was a gift.”

This October, we invite you all to welcome Sharad Ritu at Aarambh.

A) Autumn Gathering, 5th October, 2 pm-6 pm

Through our seasonal gatherings, we aim to create an immersive hands-on experience for adults and children on purposeful living, a reflection of Waldorf pedagogy. The Aarambh Autumn Gathering welcomes you to experience the charm of the new season… reconnecting with tradition and nature – learning traditional skills, handwork, eco-friendly practices, enjoying the magical stories, social games, and music. Take a peek at our last Aarambh Spring Gathering.

B) Workshops on Waldorf Education, 6th-7th October
for parents, teachers and all those interested in understanding the depths of educating the child – through an interplay of mind, body, spirit (for adults only)- Open house (pay what you can): 6th October, 9am-1pm
– Two day workshop (INR 1700): 6th-7th October, 9am-4pm

An experienced teacher, teacher trainer and parent educator, Mr. G. Manivannan will take the participants in a deep dive of Waldorf (Steiner) education and what this means for each one as parents or teachers. The interactive and experiential workshop provides insights on teaching children in a joyful and purposeful manner such that these children grow into responsible, independent and conscientious adults. An introduction to concepts of the four fold human being, the three Hs (hands, heart and head), and the seven year cycles of development of a human being are the highlights of the session.Every year we have seen enthusiastic participation from parents, teachers and those interested in holistic education, centered around the child’s being – the participants go back with new perspectives, deep insights and uplifted spirits. Please pre-register for the gathering you wish you participate in at by 25th September 2019. The participation in the two day workshop can only be confirmed on payment. This understanding will help us create a more engaged and mindful experience for those who attend. We regret that we will not be taking on the spot registrations for the two day workshop.

For more information you can reach us at or 9873000240, 9968888072. If we are unable to take your call or you cannot reach us, please send us a message and we will get back to you.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Chapter 2: The Handmade Swing Surprise from the Grades to Kindergarten…..

Once upon a time, in the land of Aarambh…

Boys and girls went out to play,
And looked for swings to climb away!
They turned and then did find a gift,
Their Bhaiyyas and Didis had made them a ropey lift

Community means sharing. And that’s how we at Aarambh grow. We’re extremely grateful to our parent volunteer, Mr Sagar for sharing his knowledge on the varieties of knots with the Grades’ children. In Grade 4, knot making lessons are part of the Form Drawing curriculum integrating math with logic and practical skills.

Grade 4 in turn utilised their new found learning on knots to create a real swing for the younger children. Of course, it’s been an instant hit!

Aarambh orientation for interested parents and teachers

What is Waldorf education? How is it different?
What exactly do children learn? Will they fall behind?
How are sports, arts, music part of the curriculum?
How is the child’s health and well being kept at the centre? Why is this important?
How are values imparted?
How is learning assessed and supported?
Will children really be ready for the real world?

Come for our next monthly orientation on 13 April at 9 am for answers to these questions and more. Experience the space, reflect on your own childhood and interact with the teachers and parents.

Please write to to book a spot or call + 91 9971666034 to start a conversation.

We look forward to hearing from you.
